Glasser Schoenbaum “The Art Of Caring 20th Anniversary Gala”

August 26, 2011

I was blessed last year to attend Glasser Schoenbaum “The Art Of Caring 20th Anniversary Gala”I donated a painting titled: Angel of Light.  The proceeds from my piece went to benefit First Step Recovery Center of Sarasota.  I love this organization and the wonderful work they do in our community.

Muscular Dystrophy Fundraiser

September 4, 2010

Muscular Dystrophy had their yearly lock-up fundraiser here in Sarasota at Michaels on East. I donated a painting and two framed prints. The fundraiser was a huge success. My work raised $300.00 and overall they raised $112,000.00 for Muscular Dystrophy. The funds raised will be used locally. I can’t say enough about the outstanding work they do at MDA. The patient care is so wonderful not to forget the amount of research they do to help find cures. There are over 40 plus different Muscular Diseases that they help treat. I was honored to be a small part of the outreach. It was a fun day.

Volunteers Of America Fundraiser

February 10, 2010

Some of you know that I donate to a wonderful organization Volunteers of America of Florida.  They help people within the community that are handicap find hope and selfworth by teaching them life skills.  They assist the mentally handicap and elderly with housing and finding work.

The first photo shows my latest angel that was donated and also a themed painting of a margaritta glass.  Both sold and raised $150.00 for the organization.  The second photo is of my husband Bill and I the night of the event.  I am excited to be a part of everything they stand for.  The event was a success and everyone had a great time.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share with you some of my new work.  I am painting some new angels in vintage frames.  I love the way they look and I love using vintage items.  It just feels right. I think the vintage frames compliment my angels.  I will be exploring all kinds of vintage surfaces for my future work.  My husband helped me to re-design a room in our home as a santcuary/art studio.   I now have a studio to work in at home  and I just love it!  I also love creating new angels for you and I know you love collecting them.  I hope you enjoy my new pieces.

Need More Time To Paint!

August 7, 2009

Here is an angel that did not get her background for around three weeks. On occassion I will start a painting and then have to stop and wait before completing it. For what ever reason I did not feel her background colors for a few weeks. Now she has a nice green background with gold swirls. I will list her on ebay soon. I will be listing many new items the week of august 10th. I thought I would have more time this summer to paint and list new items but as you all know life is very busy. Please bear with me as I get my studio ready and start painting full time. Hope all is well with all of you.

July 1, 2009

I am so glad that Summer is upon us.  I feel like I finally have time to do what I love, paint.  I am out of school for the Summer and I will be painting many new angels.  I love watching them come to life.  I just deleted every item in my ebay store today and started a new.  I listed many of my Folk Art Angels and will continue to list many more over the Summer.  Some of my listings I have started at $1.00.  Everyone who knows me knows that I love to shop, and I Love a Good Sale!   I will keep you up to date blogging weekly, so please check back.   I will be creating and bringing many more angels to life for you to collect.  I hope to sculpt some angels soon.  This should be fun….Thanks for stopping by…Tonya.
